Definition
A broad concept covering the automation of repetitive business processes by any technical means — from Power Automate workflows through RPA to dedicated applications. BPA differs from RPA in scope: RPA is one of the tools within BPA, but not the only one.
Business application
Typical use case: client onboarding required 8 manual steps across 4 systems. After automation, the sales rep enters data once and the rest happens automatically — the client receives the contract, system access, a welcome email and is entered into the CRM without human involvement.
