Scrum

An iterative framework for complex work

Scrum organises work into fixed-length Sprints, with defined accountabilities, events and artefacts. A Scrum Team includes a Product Owner, Scrum Master and Developers. Regular inspection and adaptation help the team work towards a product goal while learning from each increment.

What it means for a business

A team can use Scrum to agree a Sprint Goal, develop an increment and review it with stakeholders. Retrospectives help improve the way the team works. The framework supports learning and coordination; it does not guarantee a particular productivity increase.
