Glossary of engineering terms

QA10 architecture operates on precise engineering terminology. Below we explain the key concepts so that you can fully validate our solutions at the board level.

Process Mining

Algorithmic analysis of system logs (digital footprints) to reconstruct the actual — not the declared — flow of processes in your company. It pinpoints bottlenecks with zero guesswork.

RPA (Robotic Process Automation)

Technology that uses "digital agents" to automate repetitive, tedious manual tasks (e.g., copying data), freeing your employees to focus on creative work.

Zero-Trust Architecture

A security model which, at QA10, means building an "overlay" on top of your existing systems. We work alongside them without disrupting the logic of your current software (ERP/WMS).

Activity Based Costing (ABC)

A modern costing method that precisely assigns expenses to specific activities (e.g., the cost of processing one invoice), instead of diluting them in department overhead.

TRL 9 (Technology Readiness Level)

The ninth and highest Technology Readiness Level. It means the solution is fully mature and proven in real, rigorous operational conditions.

NPV (Net Present Value)

Net Present Value of the investment. It shows what an automation project is actually worth to your company after accounting for the time value of money.

IRR (Internal Rate of Return)

Internal Rate of Return. A key profitability indicator that tells the CFO how fast and how strongly the capital committed to an AI SaaS deployment will come back.

State Machine
